Panasonic’s nanoe technology has been upgraded to provide enhanced air purifi cation for an even healthier, cleaner environment, making it ideal for many applications including hospitals, schools and hotels. Nanoe X technology is
available with Panasonic’s new R32 Floor Console and MU2/PU2 90x90 indoor cassette units compatible with VRF, PACi and GHP heating and cooling solutions. New nanoe X technology helps to control allergens, bacteria and viruses in homes and commercial environments. It is a cost-eff ective way of improving air hygiene by preventing transmission of airborne pathogens. Panasonic’s nanoe X, is 10 times more powerful than its predecessor and works by generating hydroxyl radicals (OH) for healthier air. The technology can work simultaneously with heating or cooling operation. It also reduces odours and includes an internal dehumidifi er. Nanoe X will be rolled out across all Panasonic air conditioning solutions in due course.

Johnson Controls has launched the Sabroe SMC Mk 5 reciprocating compressor. Numerous updates have
been made, including the option of a unit without an oil separator, providing a smaller footprint and a lower unit cost. The main specifi cations of the SMC Mk 5 are an extended service life over the entire operating range (+25%); a load-based service option; confi guration without oil separator, meaning a smaller footprint at a lower cost; 20% capacity boost achieved by changing the shaft speed from 1500 rpm to 1800 rpm; optimisation for variable speed with single-beam design, off ering skip-free regulation over the speed range; no demand for top cover cooling under the most common conditions. The SAbroe SMC Mk 5 sets new market standards for reciprocating compressors in terms of length of service intervals, effi ciency and reliability. The improvements are not limited to the SMC compressors, but also apply to the rest of the portfolio. All SMC Mk 5 compressors can be fi tted with variable-speed drive (VSD) as standard.

Stulz’s micro data centre, the Stulz Micro DC, can be confi gured with key aspects of a bricks and mortar data centre, including critical power control and monitoring, fi re suppression, physical security and precision cooling. It provides a cost-eff ective solution to quickly build up local IT capacity where it is needed. This modular, highly effi cient solution is easily scalable to meet both the needs of today and the growth of tomorrow, even in places where space is limited. The standard 19” rack system supports assemblies ranging from 40U to 48U in height and can be equipped with accessories such as a UPS, PDU, cable management systems, LED lights, fi re suppression, cameras, and software for environmental monitoring and environmental control.
As standard, the Micro DC features an Integrated Cooling System (ICS) for low to medium density applications, which can be mounted internally or on the side. An internal mount provides 3kW-5kW of precise cooling and uses 6U, whilst a side-mount provides 5kW- 25kW of cooling without using any U space. The ICS is available in chilled water and direct expansion systems.
