Advanced Engineering
Advanced Engineering has launched an improvement to its popular ice machine cleaning product, HB-30. The new formula, Ice ‘n’ Clean, features a colour indicator and is completely odourless.
If ice-making elements are not regularly cleaned, they become calcifi ed, causing ice to build up and clog the system. This creates the perfect environment for slime to grow. Ice ‘n’ Clean clears heavy limescale and slime deposits with ease, ensuring machines produce fresh, clean-tasting ice.
Based on organic and mineral acids , the new formula is safe for use with all ice machines, whether nickel or aluminium. It has 11% more descaling power than HB-30. Simply circulate fresh water through the system and add Ice ‘n’ Clean, wait 30 minutes and then fl ush. The product’s red colouring clearly indicates whether or not the system is completely clean.

AUK Bacharach
Bacharach, a leading provider of refrigerant management and refrigerant leak detection solutions has announced the release of a refrigerant leak reduction cost savings calculator.
The calculator will enable heavy users of commercial refrigerant such as supermarkets, cold storage facilities and food processing plants to evaluate the cost savings associated by reducing the amount of leaking refrigerant.
To assist in leak rate reduction, Bacharach off ers proprietary, non- dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor technology to enable early detection of low-level leaks, setting the industry standard at 1 ppm while providing a fast T-90 response time of only six seconds, the time it takes to reach 90% of the maximum concentration reading. The Bacharach HGM-MZ, Multi-Zoned fi xed refrigerant leak detector uses NDIR technology and is the most widely deployed system for proactive leak detection, able to detect the presence of over 60 refrigerant gases. Using the same NDIR sensor technology, the Bacharach PGM-IR is a portable refrigerant leak detector that enables early detection of low-level refrigerant leaks, isolating leaks after detection by the HGM-MZ.
