ICE Europe 2017 Preview

SAUERESSIG HALL A6 STAND 347 Saueressig is one of the experts in the printing and finishing industry. The company supports its customers along the entire prepress stage and increases profitability by providing solutions for complex market requirements, designs and continually optimised production processes. At ICE Europe 2017 the company will show its

advanced ideas and possibilities, including the design and production of special sized rolls for converting web materials. Saueressig will also present a high-

performance hot embossing calendar for finishing foils with highest precision and functionality. In the field of surfaces the company provides

an insight into newest developments, including embossing roller technologies as well as the newest techniques for film structures with optical, technical and haptic effects. Saueressig is a renowned expert in premium

rotogravure, speciality rollers and special machinery solutions, serving customers from 10 production sites worldwide. The company owns more than 150 patents and has more than 60 years of experience.

ERHARDT+LEIMER HALL A5 STAND 812 Erhardt+Leimer will be exhibiting two new products. The PA 62 is a two-channel measuring amplifier for connecting any load cells; it displays not only the sum signal but also the web tension on the left and right hand side of the web separately. Buttons for operation are displayed on the LCD display only when required. It also indicates a trend curve and alerts if limits are exceeded. The AG 9 is the first actuating drive developed entirely by E+L.

The device was primarily designed for web guiding systems; however, in principle it can be used in all applications that require a linear drive with a large actuating force. In combination with the command station DO 3001, the AG 9

is used for web guiding on unwinders, winders and in large pivoting frames. It is also one of the only fully integrated actuating drives on the market with a brushless and, therefore, wear-free motor. The position is acquired via an integrated absolute encoder; no reference run is required on commissioning, and the current position of the actuating drive is not lost.

DELPRO HALL A5 STAND 1123

waste through better control of ink delivery, and a safer working environment for operators. Also on show will be Delpro’s high-precision

Knife Over Roll Coater. This machine for applying high viscosity coatings to a high tolerance has product applications that include processing pre– preg composite fibres, embossed and plain flooring, reinforced plastics and medical dressings. Information will be available on the company’s

custom-design service as well as its standard range of coaters, laminators, dryers, conditioners, reel stands and flexo printers for the converting, packaging, printing and composites industries. Since 1975, Delpo’s policy has been to work in

Delpro will be featuring its Ecoflex Carbon Fibre Chamber Doctor Blade on its stand. Since its introduction as one of the world’s first carbon fibre chambers, Ecoflex brings significant benefits to press or gravure coater performance, including cleaner, cheaper and faster running, a reduction in

LAEM SYSTEMHALL A5 STAND 985 Laem System, with sister company Eutro Log, will offer an insight into their combination of slitter rewinder machines, material handling modules and full factory automation solutions that can be completely integrated in customers’ internal production processes. The business expanded throughout 2016 with new partnerships with customers and new machines

installed across the globe. Laem System and Eutro Log offer complete solutions to control and manage whole slitting departments through to the end of line and warehousing. The tenth edition of ICE Europe is a chance for Laem System to once again present its portfolio of

solutions and offer a key preview of its upcoming Open House event that will take place this spring – with the unveiling of a completely new product.

KAMPF HALL A6 STAND 514 At the exhibition, KAMPF will show its comprehensive range of services in the field of slitting and winding technology and provide information about its Lifecycle Service. The focus of the exhibition presentation is on

new products for the growing demand for automation and digitisation. KAMPF automation specialists will introduce the new KAMPF Production Cockpit (KPC) in function. Visitors can experience KPC live in action, integrated into a KAMPF doctor machine, which permanently produces data. This is automatically collected, sorted, summarised and evaluated to provide information and graphics about the production process, quality and associated documentation. The ‘Converting 4.0’ topic is complemented by

further integrated technology. In addition, KAMPF will show integrated complete solutions for

automated processes and procedures, ensuring with precision the reduction of rejected material. Kampf LSF presents its extensive product range

of both complex special plants for the finishing and processing of web-shaped materials, such as plastic films, paper, textiles and other substrates.

total partnership with customers, from plant analysis and product concept, through 3D design, to supply, installation and commissioning. A large, open workshop allows machines and systems to be fully assembled and tested prior to delivery. Thereafter, the company’s after-sales service ensures a continuing relationship with customers.

DAVIS-STANDARD HALL A5 STAND 912 ‘The Global Advantage’ offered by Davis-Standard’s converting technology and support services will be promoted at ICE this year. The company will highlight its liquid coating technology, along with its high productivity processing systems for converting applications - the dsX series. Davis-Standard’s liquid coating technology

includes a curtain slide coater, which applies single layer coatings, and a five-roll silicone coater for 100 per cent silicone at rates up to 2,400 fpm. The company supports liquid coating for slow or high- speed applications, clean room environments, film or paper substrates, ultra thin and ultra thick coatings, and precision coating and drying. In extrusion coating, Davis-Standard offers the

dsX flex-pack that gives processors the flexibility to compete in a variety of emerging application markets, including salted snack and noodle bags, toothpaste tubes, personal care products, condiment packs and stand-up pouches. This technology supports cast and blown film

applications; the dsX s-tretch features integrated pre-stretch capabilities as an alternative to traditional pre-stretching methods. Processors can take advantage of thinner films, higher line speeds, reduced waste and improved film strength. The dsX flex-film is designed for applications in printing and laminating, flexible packaging, collation shrink and bag making, hood shrink and surface printing.
