is taking place this year on April 27-28, 2017, at the company’s facility in Lüneburg, Germany. The German manufacturer of
laser cutting systems is inviting interested parties from all over the world to two days packed with technical innovations and exciting live demonstrations. The theme of this year’s event is:
‘Ready for Future - Automation Solutions for Your Production’. Based on the ‘Industry 4.0’ theme, the main focus will lay on modern manufacturing processes and process automation. eurolaser will present new products that integrate upstream and downstream process stages. In addition, complete production lines will be shown in cooperation with local partners. eurolaser will present alongside its
systems, textile, acrylic, composite, and film processing, industrial filtration solutions, printing technology, new materials, innovative packaging and software. Canon will present a flatbed
printing system, Océ Arizona, with UV-curable inks. It is able to print, among others, on acrylic plates and plastic films. Furthermore, Epson will be on-site and printing textiles directly from the roll, which will then be cut with high precision, using a eurolaser system. Other companies presenting and sharing their knowledge include 3A Composites, 3M, Igepa, ULT, Erpa Systeme, and Eurosystems. Maxcess China expands into new facility
Maxcess, one of the global leaders in products and services for web handling applications, has announced the expansion of its Maxcess China Division, by opening a new facility in Zhuhai. “Maxcess China began operation more than nine years ago,” said Nang
Young, general manager for Maxcess China. “During that time we have increased production, requiring a new state-of-the-art facility to manufacture products from our storied brands of Webex, Fife, Tidland and MAGPOWR.” Featuring almost triple the square footage from the previous building and
50 per cent more key equipment than the past five years, the new facility offers room to expand with the “booming business”.

Siegwerk publishes first- ever sustainability report
“By launching the sustainability report we want to provide even greater transparency and enter into an open dialog with our stakeholders,” said Herbert Forker, CEO of Siegwerk. “That is the only way to boost the company’s future viability and to improve our performance even more.” Up till now Siegwerk has publicised its
sustainability approach in the form of information brochures. The program described in the report is based on a materiality analysis of relevant fields of activity conducted by an
international team of Siegwerk executives together with Chemie3, the German chemical industry’s sustainability initiative. A new company mission statement has also been drafted. The company has won many awards for its social commitment and sustainable corporate management.
