ICE USA 2017 Preview
ICE USA 2017 returns on April 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida
CE USA is North America’s leading converting
exhibition, bringing over 250 exhibitors together with thousands of packaging, paper, nonwoven and self- adhesive professionals from across the industry. Manufacturers will be showcasing their latest equipment and technology from all key areas of converting, such as web coating, laminating, slitting, rewinding, coating and pouch making. ICE USA 2017 will mark the fourth show in the Americas, with highlights including: - Complimentary access to the co-located
InPrint USA, the Industrial Print Show showcasing industrial print technology for advanced packaging and manufacturing. - Technology and converting equipment on
display from more than 250 exhibitors. - Industry educational sessions. - Complimentary one-on-one consultations
with the event’s ‘Ask the Experts’ program team to get advice on how to solve strategic, technical and operational challenges.
GEW with UV line-up
BOOTH 825 GEW will present the latest releases of its line of specialist UV curing systems for the coating and converting industries. The company will have on show conventional mercury arc UV lamps, LED, hybrid UV systems, inert-gas UV curing and hybrid power supplies. Inert gas curing is an important feature in the
production of silicone release liners and other processes requiring total polymerisation at high line speeds. The process takes place under controlled conditions in a sealed chamber and brings many benefits to the cross linking of acrylic and silicone coatings, like faster production speeds, reduced uncured photoinitiators and ink or varnish weight reduction. GEW’s inert atmosphere curing solution can
be supplied as a complete new system or as a retrofit, and comes with an embedded precision

professionals gather to see first-hand the latest machinery, technology, and manufacturing solutions. The ICE USA sessions provide the latest industry information presented by the people who know. Learn how to be more efficient and cost-effective in your jobs with knowledge you can take back to the workplace and implement right away. ‘Ask the Experts’ continues to be one of the

chief economist for Dupont, discussing current conditions in the global economy and the outlook for future growth in US manufacturing. - Complimentary access to ‘The Future of
Converting’ Theatre sharing the latest converting market information.
CONJUNCTION WITH AIMCAL “What makes ICE USA unique and such an important show for the converting industry is the laser focus on converting solutions and the ability to see technology and equipment on display,” says Melissa Magestro, executive vice president of organising company, Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “Working in conjunction with the
oxygen level analyser to ensure process consistency and production efficiency. The inert- gas control panel gives the operator visual feedback and enables them to simply set the required ppm level and the control automatically adjusts the inert gas flow to match the set O2 level and optimise the curing process. The latest advanced power supplies from GEW
can run both LED and conventional mercury arc curing technology as changes in job requirements or ink formulations dictate. All new UV curing systems with RHINO power
supply are equipped, as standard, with GEW’s Embedded Service facility, which allows continuous remote monitoring of the system running condition over the Internet, enabling the manufacturer’s service engineers to detect and correct out of tolerance parameters. This type of remote preventive maintenance ensures the entire UV system operates at peak performance at all times, thus avoiding unplanned machine stoppages and waste of resources.
