Euroquartz to show latest products at electronica

A

S9100 approved frequency control specialist, Euroquartz is showing its latest quartz crystal and oscillator

products at Electronica including 14-pin DIL (dual-in-line) military specification oscillators, ultra-miniature low power oscillators, low profile differential output crystal oscillators and micro electromechanical system (MEMS) filters that are ideal for embedded design applications. A new range of 8-pin DIL military specification oscillators will be launched and the company is publishing a new 8-page quick reference oscillator guide for design engineers. The company’s latest military specification crystal oscillators are designed for use in applications requiring high reliability. Housed in industry-standard 14-pin DIL packages, the new EQXO-1000BMK and EQXO-3000BMK clock oscillators incorporate a custom-designed quartz crystal and a CMOS/TTL compatible hybrid circuit on a ceramic substrate. Also on show will be a new range of low power ultra-miniature quartz crystal oscillators from Statek designed for use in a wide range of applications and new low-profile, differential output crystal oscillators (DFXO) also from Statek, designed for use in applications requiring low jitter and ultra-high frequency differential outputs in a small footprint. Euroquartz’s latest MEMS filters offer major benefits including small size and very low profile (≤0.5mm) making them ideal for use in embedded applications. These MEMS filters offer high reliability and high performance, covering the range from 2 to 50GHz.

Brandauer set to launch new press-fit product at electronica

O

ne of Europe’s largest independent stamping and presswork

specialists is heading to electronica with a new innovation for the electronics sector. Brandauer will be showcasing EloPin press-fit, technology that allows the solderless connection of terminal pins to a PCB. The company, the only UK manufacturer of this range of press- fit pins, has partnered with developers TSB Sorig and is expecting to produce millions of components every year for customers involved in automotive electronics and looking for increased efficiency and robustness in their interconnects.

“Demand for this innovation is expected to be huge and electronica is the perfect platform to launch it to the market,” explained Brandauer CEO, Rowan Crozier. “The ‘needle eye’ technology lends itself to automation and offers greater efficiency and we can adapt the press-fit compliance pin to suit customer’s bespoke requirements. This is where our special product

division comes into its own and we can manufacture a prototype push fit terminal in just 15 days.” He continued: “We are looking

to secure £1m of sales for EloPin in the first year and that will be a fantastic achievement for our first new product in almost three decades.”

Brandauer has been stamping

press-fit components for over 20 years and has continually invested in ensuring it offers world class production. In addition to EloPin, Brandauer will also be promoting its expertise in progression tooling, laminations and presswork. You can visit the company at Hall B2, Booth 541.
