And there’s no better feeling than that.” UK based CamdenBoss, another partner portfolio supplying terminal blocks, din rail products and enclosures are so significant they now hold over one quarter of Britain’s market for PCB terminal blocks. The range of terminal blocks available shows both their attention to detail and their dedication to supplying the components that the market really need; pitches between 2.54mm and 10.16mm, rated between 4A and 57A, PCB mounted or pluggable, with rising clamp or wire protected – all the options you could want. Communication is key and a constant priority with customers. Raynor explains that they are starting to look at markets they haven’t interacted with as much previously and discuss their needs. Bringing in new staff has helped to build on this and has been a key factor in the last year’s success. Increasing the level of work with their existing markets gives them the stability and strength to expand successfully into other markets. “We do provide very good
service levels and we always get good feedback on that. “We have a website overhaul coming up to support these new initiatives. We’ve been talking with our web providers and we’re looking at a completely up-to-date platform which will improve our online service levels and customer satisfaction.” Along with the handover and new marketing plans, JPR Electronics has also redesigned their logo to freshen their

image. Raynor explained, “Our previous logo had served us well for 20 years but time for an update, and as we were pushing into new areas this was the right time to do it.”
Asked about their growing product portfolio, Raynor said, “We’ve taken on several new lines in the last 12 months including Schutzinger, a high end German connector and test lead manufacturer that has proved to be a successful relationship for JPR”.

“Customers come back time after time because we provide good, friendly service.” said Raynor, “We work hard getting to know them, understanding their business and fulfilling their requirements.” The buy-out of the company was a very friendly exchange; the previous owners expected Raynor and Jacques to buy the business despite also having other offers because the pair knew the company well after working in the company for so long. “The original plan was to take over in April last year,” said Raynor, “but we ran into some unexpected delays. Jon and George were happy to wait. We have a great relationship and they have been supportive throughout the buyout,
working with us to make the transition as smooth as possible. We talked about our new initiatives expanding into new directions, the focus on quality components and excellent service levels that made JPR great are still in place, and we’re confident that we can do them proud.” Obviously the effect from Brexit has had an impact on businesses across the electronics industry and especially those who deal internationally as JPR does. The company weathered the initial storm well, and has put measures in place to compensate going forward. “With the drop in Sterling, businesses have to be fully aware of the price increases effecting their bottom line,” said Raynor. “Our goal is to limit these increases to our customers as much as possible, and keeping our prices where they should be has brought in new buyers. The company adopted ‘Communication is key’ as an unofficial moto long before the buyout and long-term customers will already know that that hasn’t changed under new management. Keeping in touch with customers and watching as their needs evolve over time is top priority.” The main aim for JPR going forward is
to grow the company further and concentrate on their interaction with their customers and clients. “It’s about maintaining and building relationships,” said Raynor. “People try us, trust us, and come back to us, and more than anything that’s what has given JPR Electronics its longevity.”
