Selwood Pump rental wins framework position with Scottish Water

Selwood, the UK’s leading pump rental supplier, has been awarded a key framework position as a preferred provider of diesel and electric pumps to Scottish Water.

The four-year agreement, with further extension option available, will see Selwood support Scottish Water’s Capital and Operational Delivery Programmes throughout Scotland.

In a competitive tender process, Selwood was ranked in first place in two lots – one for the hire of diesel pumps, and the other for the hire of electric pumps.

John Lovell, Managing Director at Selwood Pump Rental Solutions, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Scottish Water with our appointment to this framework.

This was a highly competitive tender process with an emphasis on best value, ability to deliver throughout Scotland, and water industry expertise. To be ranked first on both lots is recognition of our exceptional teams in Scotland and throughout the Selwood

business.”

Selwood is the leading pump rental provider in the UK, operating from a network of branches in England, Scotland and Wales, and a framework supplier to many of the major water companies.

Pride of Plumbing: Greg Roe’s story

Wavin Hep2O’s Pride of Plumbing campaign looks to find the best stories the plumbing industry has to offer in order to champion everything that plumbers have gone through over the past 18 months. After a lengthy judging process, the wait is now over and the first Pride of Plumbing showcase story is ready to be announced! Congratulations go to Greg Roe, owner of GR Heating and Plumbing Services!

Greg was put forward for Pride of Plumbing 2021 anonymously because he went above and beyond for his staff and customers during the pandemic. From helping out at a local Nightingale hospital to risking his own health by making sure a new mother with Covid had heating and hot water, there’s no doubt that he’s been a local hero.

This story embodies the hard work and dedication that plumbers put into their craft every day and is a testament to the whole
