While the USGA has yet to officially award Pinehurst another U.S. Open Champi- onship, they have announced that the 2017 U.S. Amateur Fourball Championship will be played at the Resort in 2017. If Mike Davis has any say in the matter, it won’t be long before the U.S. Open returns to Pinehurst. “For a century, this place has hosted the North & South Amateur, the North & South Women’s Amateur,” said the USGA’s Execu- tive Director at the 2014 U.S. Open. “They’re always giving back to the game. And it’s just a pleasure to be around Pinehurst and that relationship. Hopefully for many more decades to come.”


Sounds like the perfect place to host a tournament.
