In such competitive environment, ING Bank Slaski decided to differentiate themselves on the market and introduce a brand new version of their corporate banking platform, with completely redesigned user experience.


To achieve that goal, ING sought to undergo a major upgrade of their version of Comarch Corporate Banking platform, an application that had been successfully used by the bank since 2008. Striving to address the needs of even the most demanding corporate treasurers and CFOs, the bank focused on three key aspects of the new system’s version:


• Process-oriented interaction


The new version of Comarch Corporate Banking includes completely revamped processes, ranging from transaction creation by makers to CFO-specific single-screen item authorization throughout a holding of multiple companies. The processes are designed to make users’ interactions with the system as frictionless as possible, effectively guiding them step-by-step towards the completion of their tasks.


• Seamless access to diverse features


Comarch Corporate Banking offers multiple modules that enable corporates to use the same consistent environment for all interactions. Whether it’s transaction authorization within the cash management module, FX operation or application for a letter of credit, the similarity of used mechanisms and consistency of the user interface allow for much less steep learning curve and improved productivity from the very beginning, making the system a perfect basis


for a fully-fledged corporate portal. • Truly omnichannel availability


Consistent access to the same data, be it through desktop, tablet, or mobile channel, is a market standard nowadays. Where Comarch Corporate Banking stands out is that it offers a real-time host-to-host API which enables intraday liquidity management and enhances transaction transparency for corporate customers. The solution also comes with additional interaction channel, not typically found in corporate apps – a smartwatch app.


Success defined


Comarch Corporate Banking helped ING grow and become one of the top three Polish banks in the corporate segment in terms of market share, with volume of business clients growing tenfold from around 5.000 in 2008 to over 50.000 at the moment.


The introduction of the system’s new version with vastly improved user experience gives the bank competitive edge on the market, aligning well with Gartner’s predictions that “success will increasingly be defined by world-class digital customer experience and accessibility and the ability to engage the customer at a contextually appropriate stage in the decision-making process.”


Comarch is currently working with ING in over 12 countries, including Belgium and ING’s home market - the Netherlands. ING has also showcased Comarch as an innovator at conferences such as last year’s Finovate Europe and many others.
