ATB had a fraught few years implementing the SAP for Banking suite. The platform consists of the Loans Management

The project, initiated in spring 2008, experienced delays and budget swelling, but is now complete and the bank is benefiting from the IT transformation in more ways than one.


Its 25-year-old Cobol-based legacy system could not keep up with the pace of what its customers wanted, and it jeopardised its plans for future growth.

ATB needed to make a bold decision and the selection process for the core replacement was set in motion in early 2007.


Over the last decade, ATB’s balance sheet had doubled in size.
