Avoidance of Waldringfield golf course;
Requirement to widen area at Waldringfield Campsite to allow routeing flexibility;
Requirement to route east of Howe Farm to reduce ecological impacts on trees and hedgerows;
Avoidance of a sensitive wildflower meadow south of Martlesham Creek;
Requirement to widen area close to Sandy Lane, north of Martlesham Creek, to account for commercial food production in this area;
Requirement to widen area at either side of Lodge Road, between Great Bealings and Little Bealings, to allow for trenchless techniques in this area; and
Requirement to widen area west of Suffolk Water Park to allow for future development proposals in this area.
4.4.5.6 Amendments to the Onshore Cable Route 59.
Subsequent to this route identification for East Anglia ONE, a number of amendments to the onshore cable route and description of works were undertaken during the examination process for that project. The relevant items amongst this are as follows:
Amendment of the construction technique proposed at the Bealings area, where a trenchless technique was included rather than an HDD;
Amendment of the construction technique proposed at the Sandy Lane area, where a trenchless technique was included rather than trenching;
Refinement of the onshore cable route down to 75m across the whole route, addressing mapping errors which in some instances meant that the redline submitted with the application had been greater than 75m; and
Clarification that the east bank of the Deben HDD would be used as a Construction Compound Site (CCS).
