The locations proposed for the use of these HDD are as follows: Under River Deben Under Kirton Creek;
Under Martlesham Creek/Railway crossing at Kingston; Under A12 north of Martlesham; Under A14 at Little Blakenham;
Under River Gipping/Bramford Road/Railway crossing east of Little Blakenham; and
Under Millers Wood.
The resulting 75monshore cable route was consulted upon within a further round of consultation presented in the Phase 2 Consultation: Part 2 consultation document which is Appendix 33 of the East Anglia ONE consultation report (East Anglia ONE 2012b).

In addition during this consultation further temporary infrastructure, in specific locations, was proposed as necessary to support the construction of the onshore electrical transmission works. This temporary infrastructure constituted:
Land required for Construction Consolidation Sites (areas required to facilitate access to the onshore cable route, to provide for the storage of materials, and to accommodate site offices);
57. 58. Compounds for HDD works; and
Temporary roads to provide access from the main road network to the onshore cable route.
The areas for temporary works along the onshore cable route were consulted upon within Phase 2 Consultation: Part 2 document (East Anglia ONE 2012b).
Further to the Phase 2 Consultation: Part 2, more specific micro-siting of particular areas of the onshore cable route was undertaken. These specific micro-siting considerations included:
