25.7 Cumulative Impacts
Table 25.9. Potential Cumulative Impacts Impact
Potential for cumulative impact
Construction - Scenario 1: pre- installed ducts
Yes Impact value Minor Rationale
Cumulative impacts from the use of pre-installed ducts are considered to be considerably reduced. Little modern development has occurred within the Study Area so few cumulative impacts on the buried archaeological resource from other projects are expected.
Construction – Scenario 2: open trenching
Yes Minor
Under Scenario 2 there will be no cumulative impact in conjunction with East Anglia ONE, though some cumulative impacts may occur with East Anglia FOUR. The extent of this will depend the additional area needed for construction. Little modern development has occurred within the Study Area so few cumulative impacts on the buried archaeological resource from other projects are expected.
Installation and operation of convertor stations
Yes Minor
There will be some cumulative impact with East Anglia ONE and East Anglia FOUR at the convertor station site in terms of the setting impact on designated heritage assets. However, this is considered to be negligible. There is also a cumulative impact in conjunction with the existing sub-station structures.
122. While cumulative impacts will occur between East Anglia ONE, East Anglia THREE and East Anglia FOUR these will vary depending on which scenario is adopted and are considered to be minor or negligible.
123. Table 25.10 below sets out the projects which are considered in the CIA.
