Irish manufacturer of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom cabinet doors, has announced the launch of a new OS Express depot in Manchester next month. have recognised for some time the need to have a distribution facility here and this forms part of our long-term strategic plan for the company. “We will now have stock on the ground here so that we can react more quickly to our customer needs with immediate collection available as well as a 24-hour delivery service, available throughout the country. This will further strengthen our support for our current customer base as well as open up new markets.”
The launch of the new depot – located 10 minutes from Manchester airport – is expected to ensure shorter lead times for the company’s UK-based retailers and will also create 30 new jobs in the region.
Why OS Doors’ new depot in Manchester could answer retailers’ calls for shorter lead times
The showroom will be run by a friendly and knowledgeable team that will be able to assist OS Express customers with any queries and help them navigate their way through the company’s extensive portfolio. The showroom alone will feature over 40 unique door styles and colours available for same day collection or 24-hour delivery from the new premises.
Simple ordering process A self-service, touch screen ordering platform will be available for all trade counter customers. Once the order has been placed via the self-service system, it will be picked and ready for immediate collection.
Speaking about the launch of the
first OS Express UK distribution centre, Chris Hazelhurst (pictured), OS Express commercial director said: “I’m delighted to announce that our new OS Express Manchester depot – the newest and largest in our group – will soon be open to provide you with a comprehensive cabinet door frontal offering and to act as our UK mainland base.
“Situated just two minutes from the M60 at Stockport, we’re ideally placed to quickly fulfil our customers’ requirements locally with a large warehouse, trade counter and showroom, as well as serving as a hub for distribution throughout the UK via our own fleet and third-party logistical partners.” The launch of the new Manchester depot follows three years of “substantial
