Working with IHEEM to raise your profile

As reported in February’s HEJ, next week, on 9 March, IHEEM is holding a free evening event for Company Affiliates and those interested in becoming Affiliate members in London. Events and marketing manager, Craig Willcock, said: “Hosted by Affiliates, Troup Bywaters + Anders (TB+A) at the company’s London offices in Eversholt Street from 4.30 pm–7 pm, the event will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about working together with IHEEM. Chief executive, Julian Amey, will be talking about the Institute’s current work, as well as new projects and initiatives being undertaken as we approach our 75th anniversary in 2018.” Step Exhibitions will be providing an insight into the plans for IHEEM’s annual flagship conference, exhibition, and awards dinner – Healthcare Estates 2017, which takes place in Manchester from 10-11 October 2017. Craig Willcock added: “Discover what is happening on the exhibition floors, how you can become involved in the free-to-attend theatre programmes, hear about exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities, and find out about the benefits of having a presence. “The Step Exhibitions team will also be discussing next month’s Hospital Innovations 2017 event – returning for a second year –which will take place from 25-26 April at Olympia, London. There are opportunities to present conference sessions, to exhibit, and to attend as delegates – great ways for organisations

to raise their profile and network with key stakeholders. The IHEEM team will also be on hand to discuss membership, explore how members and Affiliates can maximise the benefits, and help companies and organisations discover how working with the Institute can raise their profile within the sector. Event hosts and IHEEM Company Affiliates, Troup Bywaters + Anders, an award-winning partnership of consulting building services engineers, will, meanwhile, provide an insight into its award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which is helping to grow the engineering talent of the future.

TB+A’s concerted emphasis on apprenticeships was highlighted on 20 January this year when the company was crowned as the British Gas-sponsored Medium Employer of the Year at the National Apprenticeship Awards at London’s Grosvenor House. Partner, Neil Weller, said: “There is a real buzz and belief around apprenticeships at TB+A. For Partners at the business introducing apprenticeships was just a natural thing to do. They are a more traditional way of implementing engineering training, and senior leaders believe it is the right way to bring people on and build up their skills, especially as most of us are former apprentices ourselves.” For more details on the 9 March event, visit www.iheem.org.uk, and to book, telephone IHEEM on 02392 823186, email: events@iheem.org.uk, or book online.
