Profile: VBN was formed in 1957 as an extruder of PVC and polyethylene – and has since become a custom profile extruder that can handle a wide range of materials for multiple end products. Its products are used in lighting, refrigeration, sport, construction, agriculture and other sectors.


Product lines: As a custom extruder, the company does not have any standard product lines, but produces custom designs for a range of industries. As an example, it recently produced an acoustic barrier from recycled PVC. The barriers are used on national roads and highways to cut down on traffic noise. They are produced using a unique tubular extrusion method – in a continuous process – and can be made in almost any colour. The end product will last for 25 years – and is recyclable.


Factory locations: The company has two production plants, just a few miles from one another in Treviso. In total, it runs 35 extrusion lines in a total production area of 25,000 sq m and at throughputs up to 500kg/hour. This equates to an annual output of around 2,500 tonnes of profiles. Examples of products produced include: thermal insulation profiles for large refrigerators; co-extruded thermal expansion joints for flooring; and door and window frames.
