Stabilizer packages tailor made for polyolefins
Songwon recently launched its new Songxtend range of stabilization packages for polyolefins and the first grades are now commercially available. Songxtend 1101 and 1102
are described as general- purpose products for poly- propylene, protecting the polymer’s properties and avoiding discolouration during high-temperature processing.
Songwon has commercialised its first Songxtend stabilization packages
They can help moulders and converters maintain efficient processing speeds and elevated temperatures, says Songwon.
The Songxtend 2121, 2122 and 2123 packages are specifically aimed at auto- motive applications and are tailored to address fogging and odour issues in car interiors. They have been developed to reduce VOC emissions and also improve organoleptic properties. The grades are distin- guished by their different
sulphur levels: 2121 reduces sulphur by 60% while still maintaining high thermal stability; 2122 offers an optimised cost/performance balance by reducing sulphur by 30%; and 2123 is 100% sulphur free to minimise odours while still retaining stabilization performance. Songwon says that the
Songxtend range will continue to be expanded with the addition of new tailor-made stabilization packages for different applications. ❙
