news CRC invests in new NY location
CRC Polymer Systems is investing in a new compound- ing plant in Sodus, Upstate New York, USA. This is replacing its existing facility, which is located around 35 miles away in Rochester. The company has taken
over the former Garlock Sealing Technologies plant at Sodus, which had been unused for nearly 10 years, and it plans to add 27 new jobs. The facility, which benefi ts from having a rail siding for bulk materials access, will house fi ve to seven extruders. The Wayne County Industrial
Development Agency has provided US$120,000 in
CRC is relocating its compounds development and production work to this Sodus facility
fi nancial assistance towards the US$910,000 project. In addition, New York State is providing a US$40,000 capital grant and up
to US$160,000 in Jobs Program tax credits through Empire State Development. CRC produces technical and
colour compounds based on ABS, POM, PA, PBT, PC, PE, PP, PS and TPEs.
