QolorTech plant damaged by fire


Fire damaged part of the QolorTech Vaassen site in Vaassen, Netherlands, in August. The company, which produces organic pigments and preparations for the plastics, coatings and printing ink market, said the fire began in a container storing granules and spread to a roof in one commercial building at the front of the site. QolorTech said the fire was quickly brought under control


and supplies to customers were not affected. “Because the black


production site is separated from the rest of the works by means of a firewall, the operations in the other parts of the company were able to start in the morning as usual,” said managing director Michiel de Jong.
