A system such as the Orbis Tech one will provide simple, easy to read sales reports by product, department and cashier as well as time, attendance and stock - all provided within the system that can be easily accessed, adjusted and assessed by authorised members of staff. The bespoke system, tailored to suit each establishment’s operational needs, will also give the operator profit and margin detail for reporting clearly on how the business is performing – right down to best- selling products, popular times of day for both the outlet and specific products, as well as staff performance.

spending information, right down to the specific time of day, type of promotion and potentially different price offerings for each group, thus increasing the chance of generating additional custom. The system can also be programmed to prompt the till operator to inform specific groups or customers of the specific promotion so that no opportunity for extra revenue is missed. By tailoring this experience, establishments can expect to see a growth in customer loyalty and ultimately, sales.

With advanced EpoS systems, there is yet further opportunity for additional sales with the use of bespoke Customer Transaction Displays. Our EPoS terminals can be equipped with a choice of customer facing LCD displays which, when coupled with our customer messaging and advertising module will show the customer’s transaction details as well as selected promotions directly at the point of sale. A wide range of content can be displayed such as picture slideshows or video files suited to the business, customer’s ‘group’ and even the time of day. Promotional content can be maintained centrally through the

back office and head office, and can be different for each site location and terminal.

“THE MANAGER CAN CREATE BESPOKE

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS BASED ON EACH

CUSTOMER’S SPENDING INFORMATION.”

The evolution of the EPoS system has continued right into the heart of an outlet’s mechanics and is used to an even greater extent than simply ‘Point of Sale’. It is now software that can instruct the operator on specific stock control, thanks to its simple method of tracking and logging purchased items. The system can be programmed with the stock at the beginning of the day, and will then monitor each item purchased, by whom and at what time. For the facilities manager, this tells them which items are popular and which need restocking – whilst that items have not sold can be added to a promotional offer to encourage additional purchases. This also decreases the opportunity for stock wastage.

By using advanced EPoS, BoS (Back office) and HoS (Head Office) suites, staff management is also made particularly simple for facilities managers. What can often be a time consuming task of manually scheduling staff rotas, whilst taking into account staff labour costs and budgeting, is taken care of by a Staff rota app, which not only saves time, but also removes room for human error when it comes to scheduling and costing. Advanced systems will enable employees to use the touchscreen’s inbuilt Clock in/ Clock out function for accurate time and attendance recording. Exceptions from the rota are then highlighted in the back-office so appropriate actions can be taken. When creating a rota, the software will calculate your staffing costs, which can be compared with forecasted sales and actual sales to help prevent over-staffing.

One integrated software platform gives the operator a 360 degree overview and control of the whole facility. This integrated logic not only gives control at every aspect of the software solution, it has the added advantage of providing the EPoS user with innovate ways to help the business drive new forms of loyalty. This can be done by offering modern mobile app solutions and new payment technologies for example, which can help create quicker payments and offer better tracked rewards. All of which go to benefit the customer and help drive brand loyalty throughout the facility.
