SPOTLIGHT HIP TO BE SQUARE
What if you could have interactive flooring that’s easy to use and ready to go? Here, GestureTek Systems introduces the newest version of its innovative CUBE system.
GestureTek Systems Inc, the company that invented and pioneered the various forms of video gesture control over the last 30 years, has recently launched a new version of its popular turnkey floor projection system, The CUBE.
GestureTek just showcased its newest product, the CUBEv5, at GlobalShop 2015 the world’s largest retail design and shopper marketing convention in Las Vegas. It was chosen as part of the “Path to Purchase: Centerpiece Exhibit” for the retail store of the future. Prior to showing at GlobalShop, GestureTek offered a sneak peak of their newest product through an installation at the Pennsylvania Capitol Welcome Centre last October.
The CUBEv5 is the newest version of its innovative CUBE system; the turnkey, plug and play, portable gesture controlled floor projection system that lets you instantly create an interactive surface anywhere. As part of the Welcome Center’s makeover, GestureTek provided four units from the first run of their new CUBEv5, used by Exhibit Studios to supply the "wow factor" for the installation. Visitors use their feet to step on engaging interactive projection displays, to press a virtual button, explore content, or play with animated objects.
Visitors of all ages enjoyed the exciting experience of learning about Pennsylvania politics in a whole new and truly engaging way. With the CUBEs, Exhibit Studio was not only successful in making learning fun, but also successful in designing and supplying a perfect match for today's tech-savvy kids, where technology had to be a big component of the experience. This hands free gesture control technology will be able to educate children and excite them as they learn.
The new CUBEv5 provides a far larger projection image increasing from 100”
24
to 130” diagonal projection, which is more powerful and brighter than before, and has gone from a 1,000:1 to a 10,000:1 contrast ratio to provide vastly more crisp and vivid images. Even with these upgrades GestureTek has been able to make the system available for far less than before. The system comes with 75 dynamic virtual worlds that clients can use as is, or easily adapt to their needs. They can also create their own virtual world scenario if they wish or have GestureTek create something for them.
"We are very proud of this new
version of our successful CUBE." said Vincent John Vincent CEO of GestureTek. "We have already sold thousands of units into retail, digital signage networks, and location based entertainment facilities, but this new version of the CUBE will really open the system up to a whole variety of new uses and markets. Its turnkey plug and play nature lets customers simply take it out of the box and plug it in to instantly have a powerful interactive gesture controlled immersive projection experience".
