Hello and welcome to our first ever issue of Tomorrow’s
Energy Management! I’m really excited to be launching this new publication at such a pivotal moment in the
sector. With a huge focus on energy and environmental savings, I don’t think the industry has ever received so much media attention.
From the introduction of the carrier bag charge, to reduce supermarket’s carbon footprints, to the impending ESOS deadline in December, and the recent deals with China to build Britain’s first nuclear power station in 30 years, which has been both contested and lauded.
With the anticipated creation of 25,000 jobs and power for six millions homes, the project could be a saviour for many, but there is much mistrust in the Chinese investors, leaving critics with a lot to say.
In this inaugural edition of the magazine we will look at Lighting, a hot topic in energy management, with many councils cutting street lights to save on pennies, we look at ways to get out of the darkness and still cut costs.
