DELPHIS ECO NAMED AS GREEN PILLAR OF ‘BRITAIN IS GREAT’

CAMPAIGN Delphis Eco, the British manufacturer of ecological cleaning products, has been chosen by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) as the only company to represent the ‘Green Pillar’ in the Government- backed ‘Britain is GREAT’ campaign.

Representatives from Number 10 Downing Street announced the news – which is an impressive accolade for Delphis Eco – as only 300 companies are selected for this initiative (including Aston Martin, Virgin and Burberry), to represent the best of British brands globally. As a result, Delphis Eco will be featured in billboard campaigns and showcased across all British Embassies world-wide.

Delphis Eco is the UK's first EU Eco label accredited manufacturer of cleaning products and in the seven years since launching, it has achieved a Royal Warrant and has won ‘Best Company’ by the European Commission, which recognised the company as a relatively

THOMANN-HANRY EMPLOYEES DO THEIR

BIT WITH CHARITY 10K Exterior cleaning and restoration experts at Thomann-Hanry have raised more than £1,000 for charity after completing a sponsored 10km run.

Last month saw the annual ‘Thomann- Hanry 10km’ take place, this year raising funds for Hospiscare in Exmouth and Lympstone.

Starting at The Old Palace Pub in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, the route took the seven runners cross country around the outskirts of this historic town and back to The Old Palace where they were greeted by well wishers, supporters and a welcome glass of Prosecco.

new player which is bringing real innovation to the sustainable sector.

Speaking after the announcement, Mark Jankovich, CEO of Delphis Eco, said: “We are delighted that Delphis Eco has been recognised for our company’s dedication to providing quality environmentally-friendly cleaning products. It is a huge honour to be chosen by the UK Government to represent the Green Sector in the UKTI's ‘Britain is GREAT’ campaign, which is being promoted globally, and hope that it encourages more businesses and consumers alike to select sustainable products.

“The cleaning industry is the biggest user of cleaning chemicals and is therefore potentially one of the country’s biggest polluters. We at Delphis Eco are proud to be identified from within the sector – which consists of over 136,000 UK cleaning companies – as pioneers of British environmentally friendly products, showing that the cleaning industry is leading the way in sustainability. Imagine if all these 136,000 cleaning companies used eco- cleaning products, what a message that would be to everybody else who uses cleaning products.”

Delphis Eco’s commitment to sustainable cleaning products has seen it become the first chemical company to partner with Keep Britain Tidy and Eco-Schools, The Sustainable Restaurant Association, and the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

With a vision to be the world's leading innovator of ecological cleaning products, Delphis Eco ensures every aspect of their development and manufacture delivers the best possible solutions for the end user whilst maintaining its deep sustainability ethos.

to people who are terminally ill. Funds are constantly needed for this cherished facility that helps more than 650 families a year.

Juan Cortizo, Head of Restoration at Thomann-Hanry organised the run. He said: “Hospiscare Exmouth is a charity close to home after it provided support to our family in difficult times. The work of charities like Hospiscare is so essential, but they need constant

public support. Thomann-Hanry, thankfully, is thriving and we are committed to sharing in our success by increasing our support of charities both in and out of London.”

Juan is now hoping to run the London Marathon for Hospiscare next April and aiming to raise a further £3,000 to help the hospice.
