Moving On App

Mr Banana, a new mobile and web- based platform for the cleaning industry allowing people to book a specialist cleaning service in less than 60 seconds, launched this month at Techcrunch Disrupt London 2014 across Greater London and the M25 area.

The company, the fi rst of its kind in the UK to connect cleaning companies with Landlords, Inventory Management companies and Estate Agencies, will focus on providing cleaning for the commercial market, particularly end of tenancy cleans, deep cleaning, carpet cleaning and offi ce cleans. Having tested in beta for several months, Mr. Banana currently provides cleaning to lots of Airbnb clients and landlords.

The current crop of cleaning apps and websites work by connecting sub contractors with domestic customers, and therefore quality and reliability is often an issue, as is access to specialist cleaning equipment. As Mr Banana uses its platform to connect respected small cleaning businesses

with property and facilities managers, it both supports the UK’s small cleaning businesses, and ensures cleaning, including carpet, upholstery and other deep cleaning, is done to a reliable and high standard.

Saket Gautam, the founder of the Mr Banana App said: “Our aim with Mr Banana is twofold. We are keen and excited to support the many small cleaning companies in the UK – a third of which are owned and run by a single person. These companies typically have low profi t margins, and with few staff it’s hard for them to spend time fi nding new customers, so we’re thrilled that our platform now makes this possible.”

He continued: “We also want to be the most trusted and reliable brand and

provide consistent quality professional cleaning services to consumers who fi nd it diffi cult to book a professional clean online.”

Mr Banana plans to partner with other platforms that provide services to Landlords and Estate Agents such as Zoopla and Buzzmove, providing even greater access to property managers who are looking for a range of reliable cleaning options for end of tenancy cleans.

By 2016, Mr Banana plans to also support other small businesses providing services such as plumbing, electricians and builders.

(recycled) with each roll measuring 200mm x 126m. Laminated and micro-embossed, it comes boxed with 6 rolls per case. Its customer friendly attributes include higher absorbency, for faster drying; a softer feel, for greater customer comfort and increased strength in order to combat linting and disintegration.

The second, a general wiping roll, is also available in 2-ply white (pure pulp) and 2-ply blue (recycled) versions, laminated and micro embossed and boxed 2 rolls per case. At 225mm x 350m per roll, it provides a greater wiping area and is super absorbent and strong, making it the most cost effective alternative to traditional tissue.

Commenting on the new product range, Marketing Manager, Emma Wood said: “These additions to the successful Optimum Professional range are part of our continuing

commitment to provide innovative products that meet the needs of our customers. Our investment in new machinery last year means that we have been able to develop a strong portfolio of laminated, micro embossed products that combine optimum durability and absorbency with an attractive design that are more than a match for similar products on the market.”
