Northwood Announce Acquisition Of Disposables UK
The Shareholders of Northwood Paper Sales Ltd and associated companies have announced that they have acquired the issued share capital of Disposables UK Limited. The parties have had a long and successful relationship both during the time when the company was led by its founder, the late Trevor Storer, and subsequently with the present management.
Commenting on the sale, David Burkill, Managing Director of Disposables UK Ltd, said: “This is a very exciting and positive move for Disposables UK and is the next stage in our development. In Northwood we have found a buyer that suits our business, with whom we already have a strong relationship and who are a family-run business with a similar approach. It will benefit our business and our customers.”
Final Call For CLP Changes
CHIP or the Chemicals Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply has been with us now since 1994. CHIP requires manufacturers of chemicals to identify and document the hazards associated with their chemicals, by way of labelling and the supply of safety data sheets.
The CHIP system successor, the CLP Regulation was introduced across the EU in 2009 and a gradual switch over has been taking place since 2010. But the deadline for the label change is this month.

Data sheets will also change in line with the legislation.
