The Cleaning Crusader

A masked vigilante has been cleaning up the streets of Cambridge, but not in the way that you might think.

The self-styled ‘Guerrilla Groundsman’ has begun a one-man mission to tidy up the East Anglia town, carrying out maintenance jobs such as refitting and cleaning up road signs, sweeping up rubbish, repainting parking signs and sprucing up dirty bridges. Before and after photographs of more than a dozen of these jobs have surfaced online since March.

Speaking to the Cambridge News, the masked cleaner, who wants to keep his identity a secret, operating under the alias of ‘Bob’, said he hopes his work will inspire others to join in as well.

He said: “I would quite like it if more people did it. I just see a place that looks dirty and needs some work or

Pensioner Bares All In Search For Cleaner

A Bath pensioner has been causing a stir in his community after posting adverts around his local shops looking for a very specialist cleaning service.

John (not his real name), 69, is on the hunt for a cleaning lady, but while this may not at first seem so strange, one requirement is that they carry out their tasks completely naked.

However, he claims that there is nothing sordid about his search, instead insisting that he is just looking for a bit of adventure and an outlet for his fantasies.

looks grim and get to work cleaning it up. I mainly do it at the weekends when I’m not working, or any time I get an opportunity to do it.

“It’s nice when people walk by and say thanks, like when I was cutting a bush that was hanging over a footpath.

“I just think it is a good thing to do and hope that others will take it up. Streets could get together and clean up the area as a community.”

Cllr Jane Coston, Chairman of Milton Parish Council, offered her praise for ‘Bob’, thanking him for the work that he has done, and even likened him to the world-renowned street artist, Banksy.

She said: “It’s lovely to have such a community-minded person in our midst. It feels like the equivalent of a Banksy is in the area – secretly surprising us with good work.”

While a spokesman from Cambridgeshire County Council also offered their praise for the vigilante cleaner. They said: “We applaud the

Speaking to the Bath Chronicle, he said: “I have a real appreciation for the female form.

“I am a semi-disabled man in relatively poor health and I am never going to have a relationship with a woman again. But I enjoy the company of women and I still have sexual thoughts.

“With the cleaning, there is no touching or extras – I don’t want sex.”

John, who is willing to pay the right woman £20 per hour, does have some specific requirements in his search, alongside the nudity: no plastic surgery, no one under 25 and no prostitutes.

He claims not to discriminate according to appearance or body shape; instead he says he’s after a

‘real’ woman with compassion and a sense of humour.

He added: “Women are incredibly beautiful and throughout the cleaning it is like looking at a beautiful piece of art.

“Every line and stretch mark tells a story, the body is a big map of someone’s life and experiences, and I find that fascinating.”

John has previously had four women spend time cleaning his house in their birthday suits, with one staying for almost two years, and he says that he hopes the experience will liberate the cleaners.

“I want them to feel empowered and enjoy it. I want someone who is after an adventure too.

“For me life is all about adventure and I see this as a bit of a last hurrah for me.”
