Originally established in Manchester in 1995, Mantank provides quality cleaning services for companies in the chemical and petrochemical sectors. The company made a strategic move to bring its offering to the North East and opened an office in Stockton just two years ago.

Since then the company has experienced phenomenal growth – increasing it’s workforce from four staff members to twenty-five – and purchasing a total of twelve brand new tanker vehicles which has resulted in the company purchasing its own, larger premises in Portrack Lane Industrial Estate, Stockton.

The company has also recently signed contracts with a major North East-based steel manufacturer and national food producer. Mantank plans to continue its impressive growth with expectations that a further eight members of staff will be recruited this year alone and turnover will increase from £7.5million to £8.5million by this time next year.

Speaking of the company’s success, Richard Valks, General Manager at Mantank said: “We’re absolutely delighted with Mantanks success in the North East so far and it’s credit to our experienced team who have put vast amounts of hard work in and showed complete determination.

“When we first established ourselves in the North East no one had heard of us, but our existing relationships outside of the region gave us some great foundations to build upon and from there we have gone from strength to strength.”

The company has also proudly invested over £3.5million in new state of the art vehicles and machinery, a good proportion of which has gone into the Stockton branch.

“Continual investment in our vehicles and machinery is important to us. It proves to our customers that we are committed to providing the best possible solutions for their requirements. A lot of our work involves the disposal of hazardous waste and so customers need to be reassured that this is treated effectively, safely and in the most environmentally friendly way possible,” continued Richard.

“Purchasing our new premises has further sealed our commitment to the North East and demonstrates we are here to stay, will continue to invest and are committed to recruiting and growing.”

Mantank work with a range of small and large companies carrying out services such as hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, vacuumation, industrial cleaning, tank cleaning and plant decommissioning.
