When food surfaces need to be cleaned or sanitised instead of simply wiped down, the Tork Low Lint Handy Bucket is a good solution. The cloths are supplied dry but the vendor can add any food contact-approved detergent or sanitising agent of their choice. The moistened cloths can then be used for cleaning surfaces and utensils where no water supply is available.


The bucket is small and portable and the cloths are again dispensed one at a time to reduce over-consumption and limit waste. And the fact that each bucket holds 250 cloths means the supply is unlikely to run out during busy mealtimes.


Besides ensuring public safety, the Licensing Act 2003 requires food businesses to prevent crime and disorder; protect children from harm and prevent public nuisance.


Excess waste and litter generated by street stalls can constitute a public nuisance and this can occur, for example, where napkins are lying loose on the service counter.


Although napkins are not a cleaning aid, they can help to enhance hygiene levels on a food stall. A napkin wrapped around a burger or a hot dog will help prevent the vendor or customer from contaminating the food with their hands before it is eventually eaten. So it makes sense for vendors to provide napkins in a system that has been designed to prevent waste and littering.

It can be a major challenge for street food vendors to keep their hands and preparation surfaces clean while preparing dishes on what is effectively a market stall.
