17 Ovens, Furnaces & Heating Equipment High Temperature Advanced Chamber Furnaces

The Carbolite Gero High Temperature Furnace (HTF) range comprises 1700°C and 1800°C models. There are two bench-top sized chambers for each of the maximum temperatures together with larger capacity floor standing units with chamber capacities in excess of 15 litres.

The HTF range of chamber furnaces is well-proven and has a reputation for quality and reliability. High powered molyddenum disilicide super kanthal heating elements provide fast heat-up rates and a reduced number of larger diameter elements ensures excellent thermal uniformity, providing longer lifetime and reduced replacement costs. High purity insulation material is used which offers excellent resistance to thermal stress and the furnaces’ double shell construction with fan assisted air flow maintains the outer case temperature according to the international standard BS EN 61010.

Standard features include: 4 to 27 litre capacities; up and away door keeps heated surface away from the user; advanced refractory interior, used in combination with energy efficient low thermal mass insulation; programmable 3216P1 controller; over-temperature protection; the HTF 17/25 & HTF 18/15 both have electric door actuation.

Designed to meet the increasing demands of today’s laboratory and process facility, OP Ovens from LTE Scientific offer maximum flexibility and unparalleled performance. These products are widely regarded to represent excellent value for money as they combine outstanding build quality. LTE is well known for the reliability and performance of its laboratory ovens and microbiological incubators.

Operating within a temperature range of 40 - 250°C, the OP range offers extremely fast heat up times, almost undetectable over-shoot and superb accuracy. Set and actual temperatures are digitally displayed and to ensure sample safety, a manual reset over-temperature cut out (meeting IEC1010-2-010) has been incorporated.

Available sizes: 60, 100, 150 and 250 Litres. Each model available with either fan circulation or natural convection, adjustable vent and a choice of PID control systems to suit most applications.

This ranges from single temperature set-point controller, through to a multi-program option, which stores up to eight multiple step cycles in the

memory. This includes a ramp function which controls the temperature rise and fall rates. The programme can be stopped, repeated for a specified number of times or continue until interrupted, and in the event of a power failure the product has an automatic recovery function.

ADVERTORIAL PURA – The Revolution in Water Baths

The new PURA water baths from Julabo are setting a completely new standard. Their modern design supports the practical features of water baths while the enamel finish provides increased efficiency and a range of additional advantages in everyday work in the laboratory.

The enamel surface coatings are scratch-resistant and too smooth for bacteria and other organisms to take hold and breed. The special enamel surface coating of Julabo PURA water baths can only be destroyed with the use of brute force.

PURA water bath series come in five models in

differing sizes. With a filling volume range of 1 to 30 litres, they are suitable for both small and large temperature control tasks. All PURA water baths cover a working temperature range from +25°C to +99.9°C and feature temperature stability of ±0.2°C. The heating capacity for the two large PURA models amounts to 2 kW; for the two medium-size models 1.3 kW; and for the smallest water bath 0.8 kW. The PURA 4 model measures just 21 x 38 x 30 cm but still offers all the advantages of the PURA series despite limited space. With a filling volume of 0.4 to 4.8 litres, even the smallest sample containers can be tempered without problems.

The unit is controlled directly from the front and the bright display makes it easy to read even from a distance. The lift-up bath covers (available as an accessory) can be removed and mounted without the use of tools and equally operated by right-handed as well as left-handed users. There are no disturbing parts inside the bath, so the flat surface can be used to reliably temper even small sample containers. The internal timer function ensures precision and reliability, and an alarm signals the end of the specified time.
