Major investments at Fambridge Y

acht Havens Group, owner of nine premier yachting facilities in the UK and The Netherlands, has taken de-

livery of a new MK III Marina Master 8000 dredger at its Fambridge Yacht Haven site in Essex. The Group’s continuous commit- ment to improving this popular boating facility on the River Crouch has led to not just one, but two new arrivals this Spring. An exceptionally versatile and manoeuvrable dredger, the Marina Master 8000 was built by Italdraghe, the long-established Italian manufacturers of dredging equipment, to a design by Good- child Marine of Great Yarmouth. Perfect for precision dredging projects in marinas and waterways where disruption needs to be kept to a minimum, Yacht Havens has invested in this specialist dredger to dredge its 220-berth marina, Fam-

bridge Yacht Haven, located on the scenic East Coast of England. With a ten-year dredging license from the Marine Management Organisation, the dredger will focus on Stow Creek leading from the deep water River Crouch into the marina, its access channels and between the pontoons to allow for full-tide access.

Fambridge Yacht Haven has also

taken delivery of a new 40 ton boat hoist, increasing its boat lifting capacity. The new hoist is one of the largest on the River Crouch and, with extensive indoor and outdoor boat storage, Fambridge now offers one of the most comprehensive boatyard services on the East Coast.

The current 25 ton hoist will be refurbished and relocated to Fam- bridge’s Yacht Station facility where it will continue to offer boat lifting for Winter storage. Marina Manager Danyal Adams

is delighted to improve the quality of Fambridge’s off erings, saying, “A deeper, full-tide marina and a larger boat lifting capacity will allow many more boat-owners to bring their boats to Fambridge. Our peaceful and pretty village location on the River Crouch is less than an hour away from London, so we hope these new improvements will appeal to a wider range boat-owners looking to escape the city”. As it is a TransEurope Marina, berth-holders at Fambridge Yacht Haven are able to cruise between over 70 marinas, enjoying discounted berthing at each destination, and to stay for up to 14 nights free of charge at all Yacht Havens’ locations.
