Travel to Porto Montenegro
Nautical tourism in Albania
Italian marina consultancy MP Network has established an important partnership with the German company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) for the development of nautical tourism in Albania. In February, MP Network and
N
ew direct flights into Tivat airport are making travel to Porto Montenegro and the coastal region of Montene-
gro more effortless. With the escalating popularity of Montenegro, almost one million visitors last year came via Tivat Inter- national Airport alone, the airport has made it far easier to visit the coastal region of Montenegro this Summer with several new direct routes. The new flights being offered in addition
to last years’ direct summer routes include; Dubai, Geneva, Bari, Naples, Rome, Verona, Paris, Brussels and Dusseldorf. Flydubai will be flying to and from
Dubai twice a week whilst EasyJet will be flying via Geneva on a weekly basis. Mistral Air offers great connections from Italy including Bari, Naples, Rome or Verona. If you are flying from Paris, Transavia France will be covering this route three times per week. Flying from Brussels, Thomas
More luxury comes to Sani Marina
It has been announced by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas that the grand opening of Sani Dunes, a sophisti- cated retreat exclusively intended for adults and children over the age of 12, will be opened on 30 June. Sani Dunes offers the utmost
in comfort and luxury, with an exceptional selection of first-class suites that have serene views overlooking Sani Dunes’ beautifully tended gardens and pools. Demand to stay in top quality luxury, directly opposite Mount Olympus, promises to be high. The new Teen House ‘Ozone’ will
also be launched at the same time – a special venue designed for teenag- ers to enjoy some fun free time and independence, as well as make new friends on holiday. The design of the
house was inspired by the popular millennial style of modern com- fort and minimalist convenience. Designed by Edje Architects, the

Cook and TUI Fly have you covered and Eurowing offers flights coming from Dusseldorf. Commenting on the new routes, Dani- lo Kalezic, Senior PR and Marketing Manager of Porto Montenegro, said: “We are thrilled with the launch of the new flight routes ahead of this sum- mer. Our vibrant village community and super yacht marina in the heart of the city offers all of the facilities nec- essary to create the perfect Summer holiday for travellers”.
GIZ agreed to collaborate on an assessment of the Albanian nautical market. The assessment – commissioned directly by the Government – will focus on an in-depth analysis of the Albanian nautical tourist potential. This activity is expected to last
three months, during which MP Network specialists will be working closely with German consultants and with GIZ experts to study the crucial issues in order to provide the Albanian government specialists with strategic guidance for the implementation of a nautical tourism development plan in their country.
In addition to providing
consultancy services for the Albanian government, MP Network will monitor and oversee projects within the 2014-2020 Program for the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region, which includes activities financed by the European Community to promote co-operation between the countries bordering the Mediterranean for the development of innovation, transport, climate change and environment. In the environmental sector,
interesting results have already been achieved with the European Community by MP Network and its partners winning the European tender related to the project Clean Sea Life. This project aims to raise awareness through education to reduce marine litter and for the next four years will involve the marinas of MP Network in activities aimed at mitigating the effects of plastics at sea.
