Lighting Feature KITTY HAWK

Chantelle Lighting is shaping the hospitality industry in terms of creating and manufacturing stunning lighting products.

The company was born some two and a half decades ago, as Anthony Holly, managing director, focused on a vision to offer a personal service from inception, through to implementation and completion. Now, we work closely alongside a multitude of designers and architects to provide spectacular pieces that will brighten any room.

Chantelle Lighting is approached regularly with requests for the relatively straightforward, to the weird and wonderful and every project undertaken is done so with commitment, creativity and a desire to produce the very best product for every customer.

One of our recent projects was The Kitty Hawk, designed by world renowned designers Russell Sage Studio. The Kitty Hawk is an elegant bar and restaurant in East London, providing customers with an all-day destination for those with a love of food, drink and discovery. The Kitty Hawk describe themselves as a heavy blend of London Cool and New York Glamour. We were approached by Russell Sage to manufacture some of the lighting for the restaurant and bar. We provided

huge, eye catching feature fittings which would overlook and light up the dining area.

We produced four industrial style mesh cages which measured over two metres high. Finished in bronze, and with 26 filament bulbs within, these fittings exuded warmth and class. Paired with the timber and leather features, they were a perfect addition to create ambience within the restaurant.

Another feature fitting we provided had a slightly more industrial feel, but was still within the theme of the restaurant. This fitting was for a private dining room, and consisted of a reclaimed timer beam that was nearly 3 metres long. Wrapped around the beam were metres of rope, which had a number of rustic filament bulbs hanging from them.

Chantelle Lightings Managing Director Anthony Holly said,

“We are thrilled to see the finished project at The Kitty Hawk in London. Our bespoke fittings look great in-situ and the overall design of the restaurant looks amazing.”
