BLACK FOREST ... A MARTINI LIKE NO OTHER

In the last issue of Venue Insight, Brockmans, the gin like no other, served G & Tea – berry tea, to be precise. Now, staying with the tea-time theme, we have another delectable cocktail recipe, inspired on t by cake.

This is a Martini with a difference and, like all Brockmans Gin cocktails, is a distinctly stylish, after-dark concoction.

BLACK BOTTLE,

The latest Spring – summer 2017 recipe using the 40% ABV super-premium gin is Brockmans Forest Gateau Martini. Inspired by the classic cake, this Martini has hints of dark chocolate and raspberry. These combine beautifully with the blackberries and blueberries which are two of the striking botanicals present in the gin.

This is a simple cocktail to prepare,

having only four ingredients plus a garnish. However, given the complexity both of gin and of the notes in chocolate, the complexity of the taste profile is impressive.

Ingredients: • 35ml Brockmans Gin • 23ml Elderflower Cordial • 35ml Dark Chocolate Liquor • 25ml Fraise de Bois • 3 Fresh Raspberries

Garnish • Dark Chocolate • Fresh Raspberries

Brockmans Forest Gateau Martini

Method All ingredients into a shaker and hard shake with ice. Double-strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with a flourish of dark chocolate and raspberries.
