NEW VENTURES WITH MUSIC PLUS SPORT

THE INCREASING popularity of large-scale concerts bringing music and sport together has presented an exciting new opportunity for Showsec.

The crowd management and event security specialists will be working with Music Plus Sport, an innovative music promoter, on five major events this summer featuring performances by the likes of Little Mix, Jess Glynne and Sir Tom Jones.

Showsec have considerable operational experience of such occasions and are therefore hoping this will be the start of a long-term association.

“We are delighted to be given this opportunity to work with Music Plus Sport and venture into this market of race/ sports ground-style concerts, one which has enjoyed considerable growth in recent years.”

Simon Battersby, Showsec Director.

“We have worked in the past with their Event Director Anthony Norris in a different guise, so we hope this will be the start of a long-term association with the business and contribute to a continuation of their success story in the future.”

Music Plus Sport operate a number of live music brands, including the hugely successful The Jockey Club live venture, while also promoting concerts at venues such as Donington Park, Alnwick Castle, rugby stadiums and cricket grounds. Little Mix will be performing at Gloucester Rugby Club (June 24th), Harlequins Rugby Club (June 25th) and Donington Park (July 1st).

The concerts featuring Jess Glynne will take place at Wincanton Racecourse (July 1st) and Alnwick Castle (August 12th), while Sir Tom Jones will take to the stage at Gloucester Rugby Club’s Kingsholm Stadium 24 hours after Little Mix.
