With views second to none...
Ring O’Bells is located in the village of West Alvington, half a mile from Kingsbridge, on the main Salcombe road. Vicky and Jon are entering their seventh year at the helm.
Benefiting from a car park and
sloped access, the pub offers a bar, lounge and restaurant. Food is served daily 12-2.30pm and 6-9pm. En-suite accommodation is available, with rooms having direct external access and views towards the Kingsbridge estuary.
Externally there is a sun deck, terrace and a children’s play area, all overlooking the Devon countryside. To the rear of the pub is the village shop opening daily 9.30am till late, selling newspapers and basic groceries.
Monday night is quiz night from 8pm in aid of Devon Air Ambulance. Entry; £1 per person with a prize of a meal for up to four. To date the pub has raised over £9,000. Tuesday is ‘fish and chip’ day with two fish and chip dinners for £12.95, eat in or take away. Saturday is Grill night where we offer a choice of two meals; including steak, gammon, Cajun chicken, and a bottle of wine for £30. Carvery is available Sundays 12-4pm. Booking is advisable.

Pan-Asian delights
Whether you prefer fresh and exciting Thai or Vietnamese flavours rich, complex spicing from Malaysia; modern, contemporary Japanese dishes; or timeless traditional Cantonese cooking, you will be spoilt for choice at Café Asia.
Take your tastebuds on a pan-Asian food odyssey and if you are unfamiliar with dishes, unsure about flavour combinations new to you, this is the perfect place to try them. David Wong and his friendly, expert team will guide you through
their extensive menu, helping you choose dishes to enjoy, create a meal to remember with pleasure.
Prepared with passion, wilst maintaining the highest standards in both cuisine and service, no expense is spared to ensure you sample the delicate flavours and intense aromas of the Far East as they should be, using fresh local ingredients or importing authentic herbs and spices for their sauces and marinades. All to provide you, the diner, with an experience
The warmest of eastern welcomes…
Excellence in all cuisines is judged by the subtlety of flavours; the meticulous preparation of the freshest, finest ingredients; the innovative creations of chefs whose ability is rooted in a deep and sound understanding of the classic rules and techniques – you cannot add a new twist to, or fresh take on, a dish unless you can first prepare the original faultlessly. But good food is not the only essential element of a superb dining experience.
A chef may produce wonderful dishes for you to enjoy but their brilliance should be enhanced by the manner of service to you – warm and friendly but never over-familiar; efficient and courteous; unobtrusive, calm, unhurried and always professional.
When those two elements combine, you have a dining experience to remember, to savour, to come back for again and again.
Maha-bharat Restaurant in Kingsbridge is truly ‘a diner’s restaurant’ where the service never falters, the dishes never disappoint. Whether for a romantic dinner for 2; a family celebration; or friends’ night out, you can be assured of excellence for that is the only standard Mr Islam and his team, (many family members), offer. Nothing less - so all you have to do is enjoy….
