Salcombe One of the most picturesque towns you will ever see

This is South Devon at its best – and for the best way to see it all...

Wander from Batson by the side of the Creek; past Fish Quay and down Island Street (traditionally the home of boatbuilders, sailmakers and chandlers); wind your way along Victoria Quay and you will soon come to the town's bustling centre.

With shopping opportunities galore, plenty of places to eat and drink (inside or take away); a fascinating Museum; and spectacular views of the harbour, Salcombe is just what a seaside holiday destination should be.

Stop a while at Whitestrand and marvel at the hundreds of boats criss-crossing the waterway; then continue up the road to Cliff House Gardens – an ideal place for picnics, watching the world go by.

If you are keen to see more of the harbour, take a gentle stroll along Cliff Road to the sweep of North Sands bay.

Or why not just sit back and let someone else do all the work by taking the South Sands Ferry?

The hustle and bustle of Salcombe is a heady mix to be amongst, especially when the Regattas are 'in town' so don't miss out on the fun.

There can be few working harbours as beautiful as Salcombe – unspoilt, surrounded by fields running down to the water's edge; fringed by golden beaches; and a view across The Bar to open sea, beyond compare.

For those seeking a little more peace and quiet, the surrounding countryside with gently sweeping valleys is unsurpassed, with glimpses of water giving way to wide, expansive views. Perfect walking country and an ideal base to stay...

A Stunning Location

Situated on a farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty close to the beautiful Salcombe Estuary, Higher Rew offers stunning rural views, a relaxed environment and good quality facilities to aid the enjoyment of your stay.

Three generations of the Squire family lovingly run and maintain this park which is reflected in their 4 Stars rating by VisitEngland and 3 AA flags, plus mentions in the Lonely Planet and Rough Guides.

Terracing on the gently sloping park provides level pitches with electric hook-up available at 74 of them. Dogs are welcome on the park if kept on leads and adjacent fields are available for dog walking.

The well kept facilities include: showers, toilets, dish-washing sinks, a laundry area, chest freezer for ice packs, a play area for children and a tennis court. A small on site shop sells basic essentials while newspapers

and delicious fresh bread and croissants are available to order daily in high season. If it is not BBQ weather ‘takeaways’ can be delivered to the park from varied local food outlets and restaurants.

Higher Rew makes an ideal base from which to explore the stunning South Hams, by car or on foot as a footpath links the park with the Coastal Path and wonderful walking country.
