My name is Ashley and I am 28 years old. I
am so blessed to be part of the Justin’s Place Recovery Program for women. I was born and raised in Naples, Florida. I grew
up with a loving and supportive family that always put God first. I turned away from God at a young age and at 12 years old started smoking pot and abusing prescription drugs. By 18, I had started using cocaine, and by 21, I was bound by alcohol and opiates. Even though I was completely consumed by
my addiction, I had my own place, a car and two jobs. I didn’t believe I had a problem and was living in complete denial for many years. But the reality was that because of my addiction, my life was spiraling out of control. I was on a roller coaster heading toward destruction, with no hope or light at the end of the tunnel. I soon found myself in jail for the third time in a year and facing more than six years in prison. Only by God’s grace and mercy did the judge
recommend I go to Justin’s Place. Since entering Justin’s Place Recovery Program
in April 2016, I’ve gained faith and have grown to trust God. My family and relationships are being restored. The tunnel of darkness is now filled with light! Jeremiah 29:11 reminds me that God has a plan to prosper me, not to harm me, to give me hope for my future. As I continue on the road to recovery, would
you please pray for my journey, my family and all the women of Justin’s Place. Thank you for reading my story and for your support and prayers!
