JOHN BRADY/TIME AND LIGHT Everglades Wonder Gardens had been

family-owned for almost 80 years when the family sold the beloved atraction in 2015 to a nonprofit organization established to preserve and restore the historic site. A new environmental learning center inside the original entrance and natural history museum provides lectures and classes for children and adults. Many people vacation in or move to

southwest Florida for the amazing local environment. Geting out and connecting with it can engage all the senses and reap many benefits.
