GOODWILL GESTURE FROM PUB LANDLADY


Julie Clark, landlady of the Royal Exchange in Worcester, has joined forces with her customers to help out the needy by providing coats free of charge.


As the bitter winter takes hold it’s the rough sleepers and those struggling to make ends meet that are eff ected the most. T e generous and sympathetic landlady was helped by her husband, Terry Clark. T e pair collected coats until they had enough to fi ll a rail which they placed outside their pub.


Alongside the rail was a sign that reads: “Need a coat? Help yourself. What to help? Donate a coat. T ank you.”


Coats have been steadily being taken from the rack as well as being donated providing a simple but eff ective way to help out some of Worcester’s most needy.
