awarded the AMOC (Aston Martin Owners’ Club) SCH ‘Sammy’ Davis Award for contributions to the club’s publications by a member. This award, originally for a contribution to the published word of ink on paper, is, this year, recognising the impact made by its digital publications.

Gareth collected the award at the annual prize- giving lunch on 21st January which was held in the Olympia Room at the Aston Martin works in Newport Pagnell. Gareth was thanked for his significant contribution to the club and his writing award follows a photographic prize three years ago.


FAST TRACK


ne of the great membership initiatives, taken over from the Museum and enhanced by the BTM over two years ago, has been the Mem- bers’ ‘Fast Track’ entrance located next to the Shop. The facility was operated at all the major events during 2016 and we will once again be there in 2017 to get you on-site quickly, avoiding the queue.

VC10 ZA150 OPEN DAY AT DUNSFOLD AERODROME


T


he Museum’s ex-RAF and East African Air- ways VC10 ZA150, the last VC10 to be built


at Brooklands, will be open to visitors on the 11th March at Dunsfold. Entry to the aerodrome and on-board the aircraft is by pre-purchased ticket only, available from www.brooklandsmuseum.com at £5 per person. Discounted tickets for Brooklands Volunteers are available from Ann Watson or John Silver at £2 per person. Tickets will be available for two sessions: 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm, with an engine run (subject to operational constraints) scheduled for approximately 1.00pm.
