WAR & PEACE IN THE MINSTER Saturday 25th March


At 7.30pm, Wimborne Choral Society will be performing two classical greats. Choir members have been busy rehearsing Joseph Haydn’s sacred Mass in Time of War ‘Paukenmesse’, composed in 1796, and Franz Schubert’s Mass No 3 in B Flat, created in 1815, when the composer was just eighteen. The concert, led by conductor Christopher Dowie, will also feature soloists and will be accompanied by Wimborne Chamber Orchestra.

At 7.30pm at St Peter’s Church, Parkstone. Enjoy Mozart’s Requiem with soloists from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, conducted by David Fawcett and accompanied by the Wessex Chamber Orchestra. Other music by Mozart and Haydn will complete the programme
