While the ships are well heated, temperatures in the Arctic Circle can drop as low as -20 degrees Celsius or lower with wind chill. We recommend you wear multiple layers and bring high quality windproof, thermal clothing to keep you warm and toasty, both indoors and outdoors. The best clothes keep the heat in and the moisture out. You’ll be provided with specialist gear for certain excursions like snowmobiling. We’ve produced a packing checklist for you, including some of the most important items we think you’ll need.
