DAY 1: Tromsø, gateway to the Arctic Tromsø to Skjervøy You’ll fl y direct from the UK to Tromsø, where you’ll be met by a Hurtigruten rep who’ll take you to your ship. Depending on when you land, you’ll have a chance to enjoy a spot of sightseeing in this vibrant Arctic city before boarding.
DAY 2: Honningsvåg and the North Cape Øksf ord to Berlevåg You’ll have an early stop in Hammerfest and then sail through some spectacular scenery in the Magerøysund before arriving in Honningsvåg. Here, you’ll have the chance to visit the North Cape, the northernmost point in Europe – a mere 2,000 km from the North Pole! You can take a photo in front of the iconic Globe Monument as a treasured keepsake. In the evening, you’ll pass Finnkjerka, the sacred rock of the indigenous Sámi people. If you’re lucky, you’ll see this under the gaze of the magical Northern Lights.
DAY 3: Kirkenes, voyage turning point Båtsf ord to Kirkenes to Berlevåg Sailing this polar stretch to Kirkenes, you’ll be heading further east than Istanbul and St Petersburg. There should be more opportunities to catch the Northern Lights as you’re sailing in the auroral zone. Kirkenes is home to the Snowhotel and several fascinating small heritage museums. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to experience some unforgettable Arctic excursions. On the return voyage, you’ll head back south through Finnmark and visit the northbound ports that you passed in the night.

DAY 4: Hammerfest and return to Tromsø Mehamn to Tromsø Your fi rst major stop of the day is Hammerfest, home to the Meridian Column, a UNESCO World Heritage site, commemorating Struve’s historic measurement of the globe. From here, you’ll sail onwards to your fi nal stop back in Tromsø, where this part of your voyage draws to a close, and you will be transferred to a central Tromsø hotel.
DAY 5: Tromsø After breakfast in your hotel, you can take part in one of our exclusive excursions or have a wander around the delightful city of Tromsø by yourself. After, you’ll be transferred to Tromsø airport for your direct fl ight back to the UK.
DAY 6: Extend your stay with an extra day in Tromsø An extra day in Tromsø gives you more time to enjoy what this beautiful city and Arctic environment has to off er. Whether you’re interested in history, culture, nature or action adventure, we have some great excursions for you. At the end of your extra day, you’ll be transferred to Tromsø airport for your direct fl ight back to the UK.
