I’m delighted to share our 2017/18 Northern Lights winter brochure with you. Last year, more people than ever chose to experience the beauty of Norway’s coastal route with Hurtigruten. Our voyages off er a wonderful exploration of Norway’s stunning coastline and the best chances of seeing the spectacular Northern Lights.


As you will spend half, if not all, of your journey in northern Norway in the Arctic Circle, you will have multiple chances of seeing the magical light show of the aurora borealis from the comfort of our observation decks or the indoor lounges. And with our unique Northern Lights Promise, made to all guests sailing on our 12-day winter voyages, it’s the perfect opportunity for an aurora hunt in the Arctic!


This year, we’ve refurbished some of our older ships and added new excursions to give you more opportunities to get close to the real Norway. We’ve also added more charter fl ights fl ying from regional UK airports to make it even easier for you to get to Norway.


Many of our guests seek a more informative and guided experience on their voyages, so we responded by introducing Expedition Teams on our ships, friendly chaperones with expert local knowledge, who can help you get the most out of your adventure.


The coastal route is our home so we do all we can to take care of the environment in which we sail in and visit, preserve this special way of life, and are committed to giving back to the communities we serve.
