Israel offers €45 incentive for Eilat

Airlines and operators that introduce routes from new regional airports to Eilat will receive €45 per passenger from the Israeli government.


Israel’s tourism minister, Yariv


Levin, unveiled the incentive at World Travel Market last week in a bid to boost visitor numbers to the Red Sea city.


Timna airport will replace Ovda airport in Eilat in early 2017. Located 11 miles north of Eilat, it will handle international and charter flights. The incentive applies to flights


operated until April 10. Visitor numbers to Israel from the UK are expected to reach


Vietnam unveils new online e-visa and first official website


Vietnam has unveiled a website for tourists and a new e-visa service. Vietnamtourism.vn is the first


official portal for tourists looking to come to the country and seeks to market the destination as a hub for nature, culture, gastronomy and ‘timeless charm’. Work on the site began almost


a year ago in partnership with Ogilvy One Worldwide with the goal of helping visitors better plan their trips and share travel stories. Meanwhile, the country is bringing in an e-visa service on January 1 that will allow visitors to apply for their visa online. “The procedure is much simpler
