Jet2 to recruit 100 cabin crew for Stansted services
Jet2.com is seeking to recruit 100 cabin crew ahead of the start of services from Stansted next spring. The vacancies are in addition to the 1,000 jobs being created by the airline as it expands across the UK, including new bases at Birmingham and Stansted.
MSC Cruises takes on Stafford as head of retail
MSC Cruises has appointed Thomas Cook’s Andrea Stafford as head of retail. Stafford, who was a regional manager for Cook, will begin her new role on January 3. She previously worked as a regional account manager for Royal Caribbean International and as regional sales manager for Tui.
Donald to take over from Goldstein as Clia chairman
Carnival Corporation chief executive Arnold Donald is to succeed Royal Caribbean’s Adam Goldstein at the helm of Clia Global. Donald takes over as chairman of the cruise industry trade association, a role Goldstein will have held for two years, on January 1. Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of Royal, will become chairman of the Florida- Caribbean Cruise Association.

Tailor-made specialist Latin Routes has launched a sister operator focusing on expedition cruises to the Arctic and Antarctic.

operating system in July that means as well as our tailor-made itineraries, our staff act as a single point of contact throughout our customers’ trips. “Obviously we can’t create the
cruises specifically, but there are plenty to choose from.”
Cruise Excellence Awards will be handed out by sponsor Tauck. Operators sponsoring individual awards include AmaWaterways, Avalon Waterways, Pandaw, A-Rosa, French America Line and Uniworld. Emerald Waterways will host an after-party. Speakers at the conference include Edie Rodriguez, Crystal Cruises; Lucia Rowe, A-Rosa; Giles Hawke, Avalon Waterways; and Anthony Rawlins, Digital Visitor. Seven vessels will be available for delegates to visit on Monday.
