Qatar Airways debuts new A350 on Doha- Heathrow service


Qatar Airways has started flying the new-generation Airbus A350 between Heathrow and Doha. The aircraft joins the airline’s


Airbus A380, Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft currently operating the route. The A350 is configured with 36 seats in business class

BA introduces seven routes from Heathrow

British Airways has added a string of European routes from Heathrow and bolstered its regional connections through a codeshare agreement.


Seven new leisure destinations


will be served with twice-weekly flights from the airline’s main London hub. The new routes are Murcia in Spain, Tallinn in Estonia and Nantes in France, all starting on March 28; Montpelier, starting on May 3; Brindisi in Italy and Zante in Greece, from June 3; and Pula in Croatia on July 1. The carrier also revealed it will


offer Wi-Fi internet access on its short-haul flights from 2017. The new short-haul routes


follow already-announced flights to New Orleans from March 27 and Santiago in Chile from January 4. However, a service to Chengdu


in China is being dropped. BA is also introducing flights


from Gatwick to Oakland, which is half an hour from San Francisco, four days a week from March 28, from £189 one-way. Meanwhile, a codeshare
