Hoseasons outstanding agent of the year WINNER: Midcounties Personal Travel Agents Carol Blackburn, business development manager, said: “We believe we won this because of our commitment to Hoseasons. 6. Great Rail Journeys Outstanding Agent of the Year WINNER: Miles Morgan Travel in Monmouth Sarah Jones said: “We proactively promote UK holidays and love working with Great Rail Journeys. We’ve got a groups departure on September 1 – ‘Yorkshire by Steam’, escorted out of Monmouth and sold 20 people on it just like that.”

7. Ambassador of the Year award: WINNER: Barnes Worldwide Travel Owner Robert Saunderson said: “I’ve been in business 30 years and this is the biggest achievement of my career. It’s so important for the company and the staff. This means the world to us all.”


8. Best use of Visit England’s #OMGB campaign WINNER: Tui Joanna Doole, commercial manager, said: “We had a really good inspirational digital campaign throughout our retail estate. We worked closely with Visit England. The staff were really engaged and enjoyed it, and we sold more UK holidays as a result.”

9. SuperBreak Outstanding Agent of the Year WINNER: Polka Dot Travel Helen Johnson, director, said: “We work very well with SuperBreak. We use them a lot for stag and hen weekends in this country and abroad. We don’t see ourselves as just an overseas agent, we promote the UK a lot. At the moment we’re promoting New Year’s Eve and Christmas shopping breaks in London.”


10. Airways Holidays Outstanding Agent of the Year WINNER: Co-operative Travel in Heswall Karyn Hughes, assistant manager, said: “This award is brilliant. It proves that you can sell the Channel Islands over more mainstream overseas holidays. It’s been possible thanks to the support of the amazing team at Airways.”
