Propane fueling infrastructure is well-established with more than 1,500 stations available to the public, and many more on private grounds. His- torically, propane autogas costs about 50 percent less than diesel per gallon. There are more than 143,000 on-road propane vehicles in the United States, including school buses and shuttles, ac- cording to the Propane Education and Research Council. Interestingly enough, fuel delivery is often made by trucks that operate on diesel.
